“I hired Lara to edit academic writing for me, beginning with drafts of my dissertation chapters in January 2013. Initially, I was unsure what level of editing I would need or how quickly I would need drafts back so I relied on her expertise to help guide the process. She asked me a few pointed questions and helped me make the appropriate decisions efficiently. Lara was extremely helpful with each draft I sent her, providing medium to heavy editing along with developmental editing in organization and structure. Her assistance and comments were invaluable to me as I needed objective input on the clarity and organization of my writing, and another set of eyes to catch small errors or inconsistencies in the presentation of the research. In addition to single-authored work, she also helped bring a unified voice to an article I wrote with a colleague from another academic discipline. Although we lived in the same city at the time, Lara actually conducted all of this work remotely and I never worried about her responding or meeting her return deadlines. I appreciated her work so much that I have continued to send her editing work years after finishing my dissertation.”

—Summer Loomis, PhD in Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic, editing client
